Talk ‘N Text recovers, beats pesky Blackwater

THE TALK ‘N Text Tropang Texters groped for form early before finding their rhythm in the final half to down the upset-conscious Blackwater Elite, 109-98, last night in the 41st PBA Philippine Cup at the Araneta Coliseum.

Talk ‘N Text recovered from a 101-107 loss to sister-team NLEX Road Warriors, pocketing its fourth win in six games. The two teams are now tied for the fourth and fifth spots in the team standings, trailing the Alaska Aces and the San Miguel Beermen, who are 5-1 (win-loss), and the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, who sport a 4-2 slate.

The Elite absorbed their third straight defeat to drop to 1-5, the same record with fellow expansion team Mahindra Enforcers.

The two squads are just half-game ahead of the last-placer Meralco Bolts, who are 1-6.

Jayson Castro led the way for Talk ‘N Text with 26 points and shot 5-of-6 from three-point area.

Rookies Troy Rosario and Mo Tautuaa had another productive outing with the former tallying 17 markers and eight rebounds and the latter collecting 16 points and 10 rebounds.
