Pinamungajan police were surprised when one of the persons they caught using shabu in barangay Tutay last Thursday was the village chairman.
Tutay barangay captain Rhabee Norteza, 46, was among three persons caught having a pot session in a shanty in the southwest Cebu barangay last Thursday.
Police, led by Senior Insp. Al Pascual, arrested Norteza, Rommel Magtagad, 39, and Teresa Manguilimutan, 37.
Police said each of the arrested persons yielded three sachets believed to contain shabu.
Drug-sniffing paraphernalia were also seized.
Only Manguilimutan was brought to the police station while Norteza and Magtagad were taken to the town’s hospital after their blood pressure shot up.
Pascual said charges are being readied against the three persons.
