Napalla, Ramirez rule Christmas Run

CHRISTOPHER Napalla and Mereeis Ramirez claimed the top spots in the 12-kilometer race of the Christmas Run of the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Cebu Mactan Channel chapter.

The Christmas-themed run that treated runners with artificial snow made out of bubbles at the finish line at the Ayala Center Cebu’s The Terraces saw Napalla winning the 12k men’s title with a time of 47 minutes and 58 seconds.

Paul Delposo settled for second place with a time of 50:40 while Russell Romulo clocked 54:07 for third place.

Ramirez finished with a time of 56:51 to rule the distaff side while Mea Gahi trailed at second place (01:07.38) followed by Rona Lacanlalo at third (1:11.00).

Junior triathlete Yssa Priagula topped he 6k female open with a time of 32:40, edging runners up Megan Arneson (32:42) and Madelyn Bedolido (39:43).

Jerson Casinillo joined Priagula at the podium as he ruled the 6k men’s side with a time of 25:07.

Adelio Chang finished second (27:48) while Randell Siray rounded off the top three (29:10).

The 3k winners were Ralph Eduard So (11:17) and Nicole Del Rosario (13:48).

Around 500 runners joined the running event that was for the benefit of the Special Education (Sped) department of the Lahug Elementary School.
