KTM seals partnership with motocross champ

Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM forged a partnership with motocross ace Jon Eleazar Adlawan that will hopefully benefit the company and young aspiring riders.

KTM Visayas Corporation lead sales officer Robbie Neil Enriquez said the partnership with Adlawan is one way of promoting KTM motorbikes to the Cebuanos.

KTM is an Austrian motorcycle manufacturer formed in 1992 but traces its foundation as early as in 1934. It offers different types of motorbikes such as MX, Enduro, Freeride, Travel, Sports Tourer, Naked and Supersport.

A Cebu KTM showroom is set to open within this month along Ouano Avenue at the North Reclamation Area in Mandaue City, according to Enriquez.

Aside from endorsing KTM, Adlawan will help promote the brand by holding a summer clinic which will focus on the grassroots level.

Enriquez said having Adlawan helps a lot in boosting the brand and the sport to the younger generation since he is a well-known, multi-titled international motocross rider.

Next year, Enriquez bared plans to put up a motocross team for KTM composed of Adlawan and other Cebuano riders.

Adlawan is also endorsing Swedish dirt bike brand Husqvarna, which he used during the recent race in Lipata, Minglanilla. He said he is thankful for the newly-sealed partnership with KTM and Husqvarna.

“These bikes really fit my style,” Adlawan said.

According to Enriquez, he hopes the partnership will also promote further the sport of motocross not just here in Cebu but in the entire Visayas and Mindanao region.
