A 16-YEAR-OLD boy was stabbed dead by a 20-year-old man in barangay Bangbang, Cordova town, Cebu.
Rodel Desierdo succumbed to 17 stab wounds. He died while being treated at the Lapu-Lapu City Hospital.
Police identified the suspect as Crisdin Cañete, who fled after the attack.
Police said the victim was outside an Internet shop when the suspect arrived and suddenly attacked him with a knife.
Police investigation showed that the victim and the suspect argued a few days ago while they were playing an online game called Defense of the Ancients (DOTA).
Police said Cañete was jailed earlier this year after he stabbed and wounded a friend.
The man was released after the case was amicably settled, police said.
