The USC Warriors remained in contention for the 2015 National Collegiate Championship after they slipped past the National University Bulldogs, 73-72, in the Elite Eight phase on Monday at the FAITH Gym in Tanauan, Batangas.
The reigning Cesafi champions stared at a deficit 68-72 deficit with just seconds to go but scored the game’s last five points including a three-pointer from Ian Tagapan and the go-ahead deuce from Shooster Olago to claim the win. They will take on UAAP runners-up, University of Santo Tomas on Tuesday.
