Tri-Liloan on Sunday

LILOAN Mayor Duke Frasco, together with Sugbo Triathlon, look to end the year with a bang as they spearhead the  Tri-Liloan race this Sunday in Liloan town, north Cebu.

Tri-Liloan is an off-road triathlon race which features a 1.5km swimming leg, 40km bike race, and 10km run event.

Race director Benjoe Gimenez confirmed that teams coming from Iloilo City and Bohol will be participating in both the 100-slot Individual Category and 50-slot relay category. Cebuano teams, meanwhile, make up most of the participating entries.

Among the powerhouse teams who will be vying for supremacy in the tournament are Tribe Triathlon Club Iloilo, Parklane Tri Team and Omega Pro Tri Team.

The first-placers in the individual category will receive P15,000 while the second and third-placers will get P10,000 and P5,000, respectively.  In the relay category, first-placers will get P10,000, second-placers receive P7,000 and third-placers get P5,000.
