THE Cebu Provincial Board (PB) approved at least 15 resolutions for the implementation of projects amounting to P40.9 million.
In its regular session last Dec. 7, financial aid and projects were approved for various towns in the north and south.
The projects include P23 million for the construction, repair and rehabilitation of barangay roads in the municipalities of Barili, Sogod, Consolacion and Poro in Camotes Island; new generator sets worth P1.35 million for the city government of Naga and Cordova town; and P100,000 for the renovation of barangay Tubod, Barili’s evacuation center.
The PB also set aside P2.5 million for a new school building in the Tabogon campus of Cebu Technological University while barangay Lamac in Consolacion has been allotted P250,000 for the construction of a sports complex.
At least P30,000 was allocated for the construction of a water reservoir in barangay Gawi, Oslob town in south Cebu.
Sibonga will get P3 million for the concreting of its sports complex while Moalboal will receive P1 million to purchase a water tank as well as for the construction and rehabilitation of various infrastructure projects. Barangay Bulasa in Argao will get a mini-ambulance worth P205,000.
The PB also set aside P4.9 million for agriculture-related projects of the different local government units in the province.
Road rehabilitation projects along the Transcentral Highway in Balamban town also got a P150,000 budget from the PB.
