Chong Hua Hospital’s Pharmacy and Therapeutic Services division recently celebrated this year’s Pharmacy Day with loads of fun and learning-filled activities.
The two-day celebration which took place on December 3 and 4 intended to gather all of Chong Hua’s pharmacists, nurses, allied health care professionals, post-graduate interns and trainees for various sessions of for a to augment their knowledge and skills on their respective concentrations. These sessions of for a covered different topics including medication safety promotion, revisions in application guidelines, pharmacy process improvement projects, continuing pharmacy education activities, proper use and care of medicines and a lot more.
Also present during the event were Chong Hua’s partner pharmaceutical companies that put up their own booths to showcase their products and give away some samples. Booth exhibits and recruitment services also drew foot traffic to the event because of the giveaways, freebies, and free services that they offer.
Chong Hua also offered 20% discount on cash purchases of medicines and free in-patient and out-patient drug counseling services during the two-day event from 8am to 5pm.
More than promoting the indispensable role of pharmacists in healthcare management, the annual Pharmacy Day also aims to recognize the importance of collaborative approach to patient-focused care which is evident in the medical center’s management in its departmental and interdepartmental undertakings.
