A 29-YEAR-OLD woman was shot and wounded by the father of her live-in partner in barangay Mulaw, Compostela town, northern Cebu.
Josephine Dañoso was wounded in the neck. The assailant, Eugenio Laguna, 56, was arrested by police.
Police said an argument triggered the attack, which happened in the afternoon of Christmas day.
PO1 Michael Magallon said Laguna pacified Dañosa when he saw her scolding her son.
Laguna advised the woman to be more understanding since it was Christmas.
Dañosa, however, got irked and ended up arguing with Laguna. Laguna went home later and returned with a .38 caliber revolver.
William, the woman’s live-in partner, saw the attack and grabbed the gun from his father.
William then brought the victim to the Danao District Hospital.
