A joint police-military operation last Friday to arrest two drug pushers in Asturias town in northwestern Cebu failed after the suspects escaped.
The Asturias, Balamban, Tuburan police stations and a Philippine military unit based in Balamban town conducted the operation against Johnny Ylanan and Johnny Gabilan, who operate in the three towns.
The joint team instead arrested 13 drug users, who were caught in a drug session in a drug den in Asturias town.
Five small sachets of suspected shabu, P500 marked money and several drug paraphernalia were also recovered from the drug users.
The suspects are detained at the Asturias police station pending the filing of charges.
