IT’S green and go for the 2016 Sinulog Fun Run that will start and finish today at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC).
Ricky Ballesteros, the chief of the Sinulog Foundation Inc., told Cebu Daily News that some 300 runners have already signified to join the race that will feature a lone five-kilometer route traversing the Sinulog Festival’s carousel route.
The first 100 finishers of the race will receive Sinulog Fun Run commemorative shirts.
The number of runners could increase today as there will be an onsite registration, added Ballesteros.
Huge cash prizes await the top finishers.
Champions in the male and female categories will get P10,000, while P5,000 will be given to the second placers.
Third placers will receive P3,000 each.
Also the best-costumed runners (male and female) will take home P3,000 apiece while the fastest running club and the best costumed running club will each get P5,000.
