A 42-year-old woman was shot dead by a still unidentified man while walking around 9 p.m. Monday in sitio Salvador, barangay Tangke, Talisay City.
Elizabeth Inoc Reyes died due to a gunshot wound in her face.
PO1 James Cabrillos, desk officer of Talisay City poilce, said that victim was heading home and was waylaid by the gunman who shot her at close range.
Reyes was immediately brought to Talisay City District Hospital and later transferred to Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center but she died a few hours after.
Police have yet to establish the motive of the shooting.
