IT WILL be cloudy to sunny weather for the Sinulog kick-off parade today and other parades of public school students over the weekend.
No major weather disturbance are on the horizon.
“The cold winds and dark gray clouds experienced (sometimes in the morning) are due to northeast monsoon and easterly winds,” said Oscar Tabada, Pagasa Visayas chief.
For Sunday morning, expect light to moderate rain.
At this stage, no major weather disturbance is forecast as well for the Sinulog grand parade on January 17, a Sunday.
January should be the coldest month but temperatures this year are warmer because of the El Niño with an average 32 degrees Celsius in the day peaking at 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
A dry spell is expected from January to February and intensifying to drought until May in summer.
