VICTIMS of the recent fire that left more than 700 persons homeless in barangay Lahug expressed their gratitude for the free water provided by the Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD).

A day after the fire, the water district installed three faucets which the victims can use for free for one month.

Teresita Aray, 40, said she was thankful that the water district cared for them.

“Pasalamat kaayo mi sa MCWD nga wa mi pasagdi.  Naghuna-huna sad intawn sila namo,” Aray said.
