3 rising ALA fighters face acid test in PP35 promo

THREE promising prospects of the famed ALA Boxing Gym will battle veteran foes in the 35th edition of Pinoy Pride aptly dubbed “Stars of the Future” at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

Philippine No. 3 super lightweight Elmo “Bisdak” Traya (10-1, 8K)s), super bantamweight contender Jeo Santisima and Melvin “El Gringo” Jerusalem will try to boost their stock as they take on battle-hardened foes on Feb. 27.

Traya will face Romeo “Jako” Jakosalem (16-11-1, 8KOs) of Davao City; Santisima (8-2, 7KOs) will battle Iligan City’s Marco “Singwancha” Demecillo (21-4-1, 16KOs) while Jerusalem will put his unbeaten record (8-0, 7KOs) on the line against former world champion Florante “Little Pacquiao” Condes (27-9-1, 23KOs). All three fights are set for eight rounds.

In the card’s main event, the unbeaten “Prince” Albert Pagara defends his WBO Intercontinental Superbantamweight title against WBA No. 15 Yesner Talavera (15-3-1, 4KO) of Nicaragua.

In the co-main event, fast-rising star Mark “El Magnifico” Magsayo (12-0-0, 10KOs) will meet Eduardo “Feirita” Montoya (17-4-1, 13KOs) of Mexico for the WBO Youth Featherweight belt while bemedalled amateur star Kevin “KJ” Cataraja (2-0-0, 2KOs) will face Chatpetch Por Pakdee of Thailand.
