TWO airport police at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport were shot and wounded by two men at dawn yesterday.
Samuel Lamoste, 36, was wounded in the right shoulder, while Roweno Moncada, 23, was shot in the right leg.
Police said the victims tried to flag down two men on a motorcycle at the PAGASA gate.
When the men didn’t stop, the two airport police alerted their counterparts in the terminal.
A few minutes later, the two men on motorcycle returned and opened fire at the airport police.
Moncada was able to return fire but missed.
An investigation is being conducted to identify the perpetrators, police said.
