A BEACH resort and a beach club in Mactan Island will be converted into an exclusive residential resort.
Once completed the former Tambuli Resort East and the Cebu Beach Club property will be converted into an 11-hectare development with six mid-rise towers including a four-hectare amenity area. Called the Tambuli Seaside Living, the development is the pioneering project of Tytans Properties and Development Inc. headed by its president Gerard Tan and its chairman Montano Ty.
Ty said the project is the first residential resort in Cebu with an exclusive 200-meter white sand beachfront. Ty said the multi-billion project will retain its branding as Tambuli, which is the first beach club that opened in Mactan in the 1970s, for stronger branding and recall. “Everybody is familiar where Tambuli is; we are targeting the early thirties and older market,” said Ty during last week’s groundbreaking ceremony.
Phase One will involve two of the six ten-story towers, which will be turned over in 2016. MID-RISE BUILDING One mid-rise building will house 144 units—88 studio and 56 one bedroom units with prices starting from P2.9 million for the studio to P7 million for the one bedroom unit.
The four-hectare amenity area will include the exclusive beachfront, water facilities, restaurants, and a commercial complex making the area a favorable vacation and residential hotspot. Tan said he sees the opportunity of business positioning and competitiveness with integrating tourism into real estate.
