IT’S the end of the road for Cebuano upstart Arthur Craig “Iggy” Pantino who absorbed a heart-breaking 3-6, 2-6 loss to Rolando Ruel in the semifinal round of the Peugeot Philippines Tennis Open (PPTO) regional qualifiers yesterday at Valle Verde Country Club in Pasig.
The 37-year old Ruel will take on former Philippine No. 1 Patrick John Tierro in today’s finals.
Tierro outlasted Pantino’s doubles partner John Bryan Otico, 7-6(4), 5-7, 6-2.
