THREE houses were razed while two others were damaged by a fire yesterday in Barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City.
FO3 Lowel Opolentisima, arson investigator, estimated the damage to property at P30,000. No one was hurt.
The fire was believed to have started at the one-story house of Segundina “Nita” Abella.
Abella said she had gone out and upon her return, found her house already on fire.
Racquel Arce, Abella’s niece and neighbor, said she heard something explode inside Abella’s house.
Opolentisima said they received the fire alarm at 12:08 p.m. and declared the fire under control at 12:20 p.m.
He said they are still investigating the cause of the fire.
