THE EAGLES rallied past the Falcons behind Yasser Magdara’s 19-point performance, 71-67, at the end of the second week of the Elite Basketball Club – Sinulog Cup hoops last Sunday at the Visayas Glass Gym in Guadalupe.
Magdara was backed up by Jolou Entrampas with 13 points while Harold Castro chipped in 11 markers for the Eagles, who survived a grueling fourth quarter against the tough Falcons team.
In the second game, the Seahawks, spearheaded by triggerman Joirene Salcedo, trounced the Jaguars, 72-64.
Salcedo and teammate Vince Ranile scored 17 points apiece for the Seahawks, who improved their win-loss record to 2-0.
In the last game of the night, the 49-point combination of Emil Gabuya and Rechie Alcala did not pay off as they lost to the Bulldogs, 74-71.
Jairus Concepcion and Lester Lucero each tallied 17 markers for the Bulldogs. Gabuya had 25 points while Alacala inked 24.
