An electric post caught fire along sitio Sto. Niño, barangay Apas in Cebu City last Thursday afternoon.
FO3 Geoffrey Solon, investigator of the Lahug Fire Station, told Cebu Daily News that residents in the area helped put out the fire minutes after it was reported to them at past 2 pm.
Solon said residents saw sparks in the wires which caused the fire. No dry branches were found caught on the wire. Solon said personnel of the Visayan Electric Co. (Veco) inspected the pole.
