The sporadic rain and cold weather in Cebu may persist even during Sinulog festivity.
Oscar Tabada, Mactan chief of the state weather bureau Pagasa, said Cebu will have cloudy skies with rains throughout the week. He said the province may have fine weather on Saturday, but it will be generally cloudy on Sunday when Cebu celebrates the feast of Sto. Niño. Several flights were canceled “due to bad weather”.
Mactan Cebu International Airport reported in their Facebook account that these flights are cancelled:

“This weather system will cause Eastern and Central Visayas to experience moderate to heavy rains, while the rest of the Visayas will experience light to moderate rains all throughout the day,” Netherlan Saletrero, Pagasa-Mactan weather specialist, said.
Based on the forecast rainfall analysis for this month, Cebu will have an estimate of 100.4 mm of rainfall. Most parts of the country will generally have above normal rainfall though there is no tropical cyclone detected within the Philippine area of responsibility.
