TWO men, including a worker of the Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA), were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation past midnight yesterday in Barangay Bankal, Lapu-Lapu City.
Arrested were Ariel Fuentes, 49, and Edwin Peliño, 27, the subject of the raid conducted by operatives of the Pusok, Police Station.
Fuentes worked as the driver of MCIA’s Crash Fire Rescue Division’s fire truck.
Senior Insp. Wayne Magbanua, chief of the Pusok police, said Fuentes yielded a sachet of suspected shabu and drug-sniffing paraphernalia.
Seized from Peliño were seven sachets of suspected shabu, drug-sniffing paraphernalia and the P200 buy-bust money, said Insp. Magbanua.
The seized illegal drugs were worth P1,600, police said.
