Two men were killed in separate shooting incidents in Cebu City and Cordova town in Mactan Island.
At 5 p.m. in Gaisano Street, Barangay Tejero last Friday, a man was found dead with a gunshot wound in his head.
Police said the unidentified victim was earlier seen riding a motorcycle along with two companions on another motorcycle.
But as they entered an interior portion of the barangay, gunshots were heard and the man’s body was later found on the street.
Later in the evening in Barangay Poblacion, Cordova town, a tricycle driver was shot dead by an unidentified assailant on a motorcycle.
Junifer Rosagaran, 29, died after he was shot eight times in the body.
Police said Rosagaran was transporting a male passenger from Barangay Gabi when two men on a motorcycle stopped near the driver and the backrider, pulled out a gun and shot him with a .45 caliber pistol.
Police are looking at the drug angle as the motive of the shooting after Rosagaran’s wife told them that the victim was involved in illegal drugs last year.
