FORMER Senator Panfilo Lacson said Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte’s promise of eliminating crime and the drug menace in three to six months is not doable.
“Without taking anything away from Mayor Duterte because he proved his capability in Davao City, it looks like it’s hard to achieve. If you say you can eliminate corruption, criminality, drugs, it looks like it’s not doable,” Lacson said.
Lacson said solving criminality entailed a lot of strategic and tactical planning. He said the police must employ strategies to suppress and prevent crimes and these need massive police visibility.
