PNP Deputy Director General Marcelo Garbo called on the police to maintain integrity in their ranks in yesterday’s visit to Cebu City, which came eight days before his retirement on March 2.
Garbo was the former regional director of the Police Regional Office in 2012 when he was tasked to enforce the suspension order on then-governor Gwendolyn Garcia.
“I just came back to see our people, this is a farewell journey. In eight days I will be retiring, it would be disrespectful for me if I will not go back to Cebu,” Garbo told reporters.
Garbo is the PNP deputy director general for administration, ranked next to PNP Director General Ricardo Marquez.
Garbo said he plans to be more hands on with the family business and fetch his two kids to school.
