A 42-YEAR-OLD man suspected to be involved in the proliferation of fake money was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sto. Niño, Cebu City last Tuesday morning.
At least 100 pieces of fake P500 bills and six fake P1,000 bills were recovered from Dante Marticion.
The buy-bust operation took place in a fastfood outlet on Colon Street where the suspect agreed to meet with the poseur-buyer, said Chief Insp. Jose Gesto, chief of Cebu City Police Station 3.
The suspect told police that the fake bills were just given to him by Sonny Herrera.
