The body of a fisherman was found floating near the Naval Base Rafael Ramos (NBRR), the headquarters of the Naval Forces Central (Navforcen) in Lapu-Lapu City about 5:30 a.m. on Friday.

Lt. James Reyes, Navforcen spokesperson, told Cebu Daily News that the fisherman was identified as Rodolfo Pepino, 38, and a resident of Barangay Looc in the city.

Reyes said family members identified Pepino who went missing on Thursday night.

Reyes said Pepino was believed to have suffered epileptic attack while fishing.

Pepino’s case was already turned over to the Lapu-Lapu City Police for further investigation.
