OWWA scholar places 4th in Architect board exam

A SCHOLAR of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration in Central Visayas (OWWA 7) bagged fourth place in the Architect licensure examination given last Jan. 29 and 31.

Dexter Perral, a recipient of OWWA’s Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP), was elated after hearing the result of the exam and credited OWWA for his success.

“I cannot be where I am today without OWWA, which gave hardworking OFWs different benefits and opportunities. Thank you so much OWWA,” Perral said.

Perral graduated from the Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) with a degree in Architecture last March 2015. The newly licensed architect is the youngest son of Mansueto and Rosalia Perral, both registered medical technologists working in King Fahad Hospital, Albaha, Saudi Arabia.

During his college years, Perral diligently complied with all the requirements and actively participated in OWWA’s activities.

“He is responsible. He complies with all the requirements on time and enthusiastically participates in our activities. As in-charge of the EDSP, I’m very proud of him,” OWWA EDSP in-charge Romyl Cabillo said.

EDSP is given to qualified dependents of active OWWA members who intend to pursue a 4-5 year baccalaureate course in any preferred college or university with a financial assistance of P60,000 per school year.
