Fire in Sambag II

Ten to fifteen houses were destroyed in a fire that struck Sitio Kawayan, Barangay Sambag II, Cebu City Tuesday night.

Cebu City Fire Marshal Rogelio Bongabong Jr., said the fire was tapped at 9:38 p.m. and reached second alarm before it was placed under control in 15 minutes.

Bongabong said that the fire allegedly started at the house of Eleuterio Jamiro where a lamp was believed to have fallen.

As of 10:30 p.m., firefighters were still looking for Jamiro. Damage to property was estimated at P150,000.
