CEBU CITY—At least 50 volunteers inaugurated the Liberal Party headquarters located at the Manros Plaza along General Maxilom Avenue in Cebu City on Thursday morning.

Lawyer Democrito Barcenas, who heads the group, said they chose to throw their support to former interior secretary Mar Roxas and Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo because they wanted to continue programs of the Aquino administration.

Barcenas said he also believed that Roxas was the most qualified to be president among the presidential candidates.

“Ibigay ko lahat sa laban na ito. Hindi ito para sa akin (I will everything for this fight. This is not for me) but for the dignity of Filipinos and the good of the country. We have yet to reach paradise but we have seen the fruits of our labor under Pnoy,” Roxas said in a message which he delivered during the headquarters opening.
