4:15 p.m. Meralco vs. NLEX
7:00 p.m. Rain or Shine vs. San Miguel Beer

The Meralco Bolts look to get back on track while the San Miguel Beermen try to sustain their hot streak when they face separate opponents today in the 41st PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the Araneta Coliseum.

The Bolts clash with sister team NLEX Road Warriors in the first game, while the Beermen shoot for a fourth straight victory in the main match against the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.

Meralco started the tournament with five straight wins before bowing to Philippine Cup champion San Miguel last Saturday, 86-84.

The Bolts also got off to a 5-0 start in last year’s Commissioner’s Cup and it was also the Beermen who stopped the streak.

Meralco is still on top of the standings followed by the Alaska Aces, who are currently the league’s hottest after racking up four straight victories that improved their record to 4-1.

The Beermen, the second hottest team owing to their three-game winning streak, are at  third place with a 3-1 record.

The Road Warriors and the Elasto Painters share the seventh to ninth spots with the Phoenix Fuel Masters with identical 2-3 slates.

The Road Warriors have lost their last two games, while the Elasto Painters just snapped a three-game slide following a 121-94 drubbing of the Road Warriors last week.

Expected to lead the Bolts anew is import Arinze Onuaku, who  had a monster game of 26 points and 30 boards in the loss to San Miguel.
