A “habal-habal” or motorcycle for hire driver was shot down by unidentified motorcycle-riding assailants as he headed home to sitio Dakit in barangay Perelos in Carcar City at 9 p.m. last Sunday.
Pedro Dic-Rican died of multiple gunshot wounds on his head and body. SPO2 Ervin Abella of the Carcar City police said the 57-year-old victim had just gotten off work and was headed home when he was ambushed.
Abella said they are looking at personal grudge as a motive behind the killing. He said Dic-Rican worked as a barangay tanod before he became a motorcycle for hire driver.
