Carcar councilor’s brother shot dead

THE brother of an incumbent Carcar City councilor was shot dead inside his home in Tangasan, Valladolid, Carcar City at 6:30 pm last Tuesday.

Arvin Quijano Gantuangco, brother of Councilor Arki Gantuangco, died before being transferred from the Carcar City District Hospital to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City.

PO1 Francisco Saberon said the 45-year-old Gantuangco was shot at the back of his head and the bullet exited his forehead.

Saberon said neighbors heard gunshots but didn’t see who killed Gantuangco.

Two empty shells from a .45 pistol were recovered from the kitchen where the victim was shot.
