THE Carcar City Schools Division has partnered with the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. Kool Adventure Camp (RAFI-KAC) for its annual training program for students and teachers.
The first batch of students, composed of 68 Supreme Student Government officers and teachers, underwent leadership training last October at the RAFI-KAC Adventure Education Centre in barangay Cansomoroy, Balamban, southwest Cebu.
They accomplished specific challenges from high ropes course to activities that enhanced their initiative, teamwork, ownership and accountability of responsibilities.
The participants were also taught how to implement school projects.
The participating schools were Ocaña National High School (NHS), Valencia National Vocational High School, Carcar City Central NHS, Valladolid NHS, Perrelos NHS, Maximino Noel Memorial NHS, Roberto E. Sato NHS, Liburon NHS, Tuyom NHS and Can-asujan NHS.
“I believe that the experience I gained from the program will help me become a better leader in our organization,” said Joycel Albito from Maximino Noel Memorial NHS.
“The leadership program with KAC will be a yearly activity for our student leaders and we are looking for more collaborations with RAFI- KAC, especially that we include the program in the training plan of DepEd Carcar City Division,” said Dr. Gregorio Cyrus Elejorde, schools division superintendent.
