THE SEMIFINAL cast is set in the Architects + Engineers Basketball Association Davies Paints Cup after Bio-Fresh+ and Megacryl500 emerged victorious over their respective opponents on Saturday night at the Metro Sports Gym in Lahug.
Bio-Fresh put down Sun & Rain, 81-73, while Megacryl500 blasted Elastogel Extreme, 105-79.
The win by Bio-Fresh gave it a tie with Mortaflex, which registered a default win over Mondo Skimcoat at 4-1 (win-loss). However, Mortaflex took the top spot by virtue of their win over Bio-Fresh in the elimination round.
Both Mortaflex and Bio-Fresh will hold a twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four.
Both Megacryl and Sun & Rain ended up with identical 3-2 records but the former grabbed the third seed via the winner-over-the-other rule. This means that
Mortaflex will face off against Sun & Rain while Bio-Fresh battles Megacryl500 in the other semis pairing.
