Boy with eye tumor needs help

TARIPE

TARIPE

A THREE-YEAR-OLD boy from Barangay Basak, Mandaue City is in need of financial assistance for his chemotherapy treatment and surgery.

James Smith Taripe was diagnosed with retinoblastoma, a malignant tumor of the eye retina.

Taripe first developed redness and swelling in his right eye, prompting his parents to seek consultation.

Test results revealed cancerous eye tumor.

Taripe underwent chemotherapy which improved his condition.

However, the needed surgery was not complied due to financial problems and after a few months, his left eye also got affected.

TOTALLY BLIND

Taripe is now totally blind, but he still loves to play. He now goes back on chemotherapy treatment. He needs to undergo another three or more cycles of chemotherapy before a surgery would be performed to remove his left eye or both. Taripe’s parents, however, could no longer shoulder the needed expenses for his treatment and surgery.

His mother is an on-call therapist earning less than the minimum wage, while his father had to stop working as a PUJ driver to take care of him.

Taripe is asking kindhearted individuals to help him by donating for his chemotherapy and surgery.
