A 40-year-old contruction worker was stabbed to death in Barangay Lower Calajo-an, Minglanilla in southern Cebu last Thursday morning.
SPO1 Romeo Barde of the Minglanilla Police Station said that Ranelio Pencirga was stabbed several times in the body with a knife allegedly by Alfredo Cabanca, 36, at past midnight while he was sleeping inside his room beside his live-in partner.
Barde said that Cabanca, who was allegedly an ex-boyfriend of the victim’s live-in partner was allegedly jealous of their relationship.
Barde said that Cabanca, who fled after the attack, was still at large.
