SWAT clears court amid bomb threat

A SPECIAL Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team was sent to the Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC) Branch 3 located at the Qimonda Center after police received a report of a bomb threat there.

Court employee Aila Noah Emphasis said the SWAT team declared the area bomb free after arriving there at 9 am. Emphasis said a utility worker received a phone call from an unidentified person at 7:30 am Monday claiming that a bomb had been planted in the court sala of Branch 3.

The court employees then called Judge Yvonne Artiaga and their clerk of court who were attending a seminar at the time and were advised to clear the area.

Emphasis said they didn’t call for the police at the time. Work resumed at 10 am.
