P260K worth of firearms stolen in Naga City

MORE than P260, 000 worth of licensed firearms and ammunition were stolen inside an office at Barangay Tina-an, Naga City Wednesday afternoon.

Naga police said the stolen items consist of a 12 gauge Mosberg shotgun worth P80 000, one TRW M14 rifle with two long and two short magazines worth P140,000, one CZ 75 .9mm pistol with ammunition worth P45,000 and hundreds of assorted ammunition.

Jay Roble, the victim and proprietor of JFR trucking services, reported to Naga police that everything was still accounted for inside his office before the robbery occurred.

A burglary suspect identified as John Lapiz is now detained at the Naga City police precinct.
