Michael Aldeguer of ALA Promotions International said the unbeaten Boholano will face what could be the toughest fight of his promising pro career against dangerous American Chris “Hitman” Avalos in their WBO International featherweight title duel in the undercard of “The Time Has Come: Donaire Vs. Bedak” at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC).
Aldeguer said that Avalos is definitely the most dangerous fighter the 20-year-old Boholano has ever faced.
Magsayo who holds an unbeaten record of 13 wins with 10 knockouts will face the more experienced Avalos (26-4,19KOs).
“This is a big risk for Magsayo. There’s no guarantee if he can win against Avalos who is as young as him but more experienced than him,” said Aldeguer.
Magsayo, however, shrugged it all off and vowed to win the bout in a decisive manner or via knockout. “There’s no pressure on my side, I’ve watched his fight tapes and I like the way he fights, because it fits my style. I am ready and I wish him good luck,” Magsayo said.
