Two women arrested, five kids rescued from cybersex den

TWO mothers were arrested on charges of using their own children to pose naked and do live sex shows for cyberpornography in a barangay in Lapu-Lapu City last Tuesday afternoon.

Five kids including a three-month-old baby girl were rescued in an entrapment operation by operatives of the Women and Children Protection Center-Visayas Field Unit (WCPC-VFU) on a cybersex den operated by the two sisters at their own home.

Chief Insp. Rose Santolorin, asst. chief of WCPC-VFU told Cebu Daily News that some of the kids were performing a sex act in front of an online foreign customer at 1:40 p.m. last Tuesday.

Santolorin said the children rescued were a one-year-old boy and his three-month-old sister who happened to be the child of one of the suspects. Also rescued were three other girls including twins who were also children of one of the suspects.

The operation came after a two-month-surveillance done on the strength of a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 10 Judge Soliver Peras.

The two women face charges of human trafficking and violating Republic Act 10175 also known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

The kids are now at the custody of the social workers for possible intervention while their mothers are now in police custody.
