USC grads land in bar exam’s top 10

Two University of San Carlos School of Law and Governance landed at the Top Ten of the 2015 Bar Exams.

Athena C. Plaza landed on the second spot with 87.25 percent rating while Jecca B. Jacildo landed at the 8th spot with 86.85 percent rate.

Jacildo tied with two other top notchers, Soraya S. Laut of Xavier University and Jericho R. Chiu of Ateneo de Manila University at the 8th spot.

A student of the University of the Philippines (UP), Rachel Angeli B. Miranda, got the top spot with a rating of 87.4 percent,

Other top notchers include Jayson C. Aguilar of UP (86.75%, 3rd), Reginald M. Arceo of ADMU (86.7%, 4th), Mandy Therese M. Anderson of ADMU (86.15%, 5th), Giselle P. Hernandez of UP (86.1%, 6th), Darniel R. Bustamante of San Beda College – Manila (85.9%, 7th) and Jedd Brian R. Hernandez of UP (85.8%, 9th).

Ronel U. Buenaventura of Bulacan State University and Lara Carmela G. Fernando of San Beda College-Manila tied at the 10th spot with 85.75% rating.

Out of the 6,600 law graduates who took the exam, 26.21 percent passed. The passing rate is kept at 75 percent.
