The head of the Carcar City Anti-Crime Task Force (Cactaf) Enrico Racoma was arrested in a raid of his house in Sitio Kamagayan, Barangay Perrelos in Carcar City at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Senior Supt. Marlon Tayaba, chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG-7) said the raid occurred due to complaints from Racoma’s neighbors who said the official would brandish and indiscriminately fire his gun.
Tayaba said, they secured a search warrant from a Mandaue City judge and conducted a raid which yielded one unlicensed .45 pistol and 30 bullets.
Tayaba said Racoma surrendered and is detained at their cell, pending the filing of charges of illegal possession of firearms.
Tayaba said they have yet to verify reports that Racoma is involved in the recent mall robbery in Carcar City.
