JOSIE Natori, the New York-based Filipina designer, was in town recently for the presentation of her Spring 2016 collections of her labels—Natori,
Natori, Josie Natori, and a special evening collection.
The event took place in the Rustan’s department store at Ayala Center Cebu, with the presence of about 100 prominent ladies. Some came early the better to make their choices and snap them up.
There was everything for everyone, like wearable art inspired by Asian paintings. As the press release says: Bold brushstrokes, abstract calligraphy prints and bright colors that capture energy and vitality of spring—these are the highlights of this season’s collection.
We were there early, the better to greet Josie Natori and meet her mother Angelita Alameda Cruz and her sister Aida Cruz Chinloy.
Also there were Marilen Tantoco, Rustan’s VP for Home and Merchandising, and Dina Tantoco, who heads Rustan’s marketing communications.
Welcoming all was Pepet Macachor, the general manager of Rustan’s Cebu.
In charge of the event, and congratulated for its success were Jaja Chiongbian-Rama and Claudine Chiongbian of BigSeed PR & Events. They tell us that the N Natori label is exclusively available in Rustan’s Cebu and Gateway. The Josie Natori and Natori labels are in Rustan’s Makati and Shangri-La.
