RAINS caused by “local convective activities” fell down in parts of Cebu City and Metro Cebu this morning.
Weather specialist Vhan Singson of the state weather bureau Pagasa said it was the first time that it rained this month. But they recorded only 4.2 millimeters of rain this month so far which is way below the average 100.6 millimeters of rainfall recorded for May.
Rain was felt in the cities of Cebu, Talisay, Carcar and Naga and the towns of Minglanilla and Sibonga. Singson said rains may be felt in the next few days but Pagasa may declare a drought if rainfall continues to be less than six percent of the average rainfall next month.
