A woman who tried to pacify two other women who were arguing in Barangay Tabunok, Talisay City, ended up shooting the two women at 4 a.m. yesterday.
Bobby Nilyes, 33, and her female live-in partner, Cheryl Lobrino, 36, survived the shooting and were recuperating at the hospital, said PO1 Victor Largo of the Talisay City police.
Largo said that Gena Montecillo, 26, got angry after the Nilyes and Lobrino got angry at her for intervening in their argument.
Largo said that Montecillo went home, got a gun, and returned to where Nilyes and Lobrino were and shot them.
Largo said Nilyes suffered a gunshot wound in the chest while Lobrino got shot in the left thigh.
Police are still looking for Montecillo, who fled after shooting the two women.
