Four more arrest warrants for Central Visayas’ most wanted

Michael Florida, the arrested number one most wanted criminal in Central Visayas, would face a string of additional changes after four pending warrant of his arrest were served against him on Monday.

Inspector Ruel Burlat, of the Regional Special Operations Group (RSOG) in Central Visayas, told reporters in a press briefing today that after coordinating with other regional police units, they learned that Florida has pending warrant of arrest for two other robberies, murder and frustrated murder.

Florida also has a pending warrant in Pagadian City in Mindanao for killing a robber cohort and his wife. While the two other warrant of arrest are for his two separate cases of robbery in band.

The murder charges, with no bail recommended, and frustrated murder were issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Edilberto Absin of Pagadian City, while the two other charges of robbery in band were issued separately by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Ma. Lynna Adviento of Cebu City and RTC Judge Dennis Vicoy of Pagadian City.

It was on Thursday last week when Florida was arrested by operatives of Regional Special Operations Group (RSOG) 7 in his house in Linamon town, Lanao del Norte, Northern Mindanao after weeks of surveillance.

The suspect, who is currently detained at Cebu City Police Station 2, has been linked to several robbery charges in E-Bingo branches in the cities of Mandaue in Cebu and MyGold robbery in Cebu City and Oro China robbery in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
