THE MARCO Polo Plaza Hotel held a White Night at the BLU, its outlet on top of the building, measured at 1,000 feet above sea level.

It was exclusively for media friends in celebration of the hotel’s 10th anniversary. General Manager Julie Najar was there
to greet one and all.

Also: resident manager Xavier Masson, marketing and sales director Lara Constantino-Scarrow, communications manager Manna Alcaraz, public relations officer Yvonne Silva, and reservations manager Jude Pangan.

As it does every year, the Marco Polo will celebrate Philippine Independence Day with a culinary journey opening on June 10 and on up to June 16 at Cafe Marco for lunch and dinner.

For this, heritage cuisine expert Jessica Avila has devised a menu inspired by the regional dishes of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Patrons of the food fest stand to win a valuable South Sea Pearl pendant from Jewelmer which will be raffled after the food fest is concluded.

Now, we are told about the Marco Polo Hotels Signature Iced Tea drink that is served in all Marco Polo hotels, recently unveiled at the Marco Polo Xiamen.

Called the Earl Grape Iced Tea, it is a combination of elderflower syrup, Early Grey Tea, and seedless green grapes. It’s terribly refreshing!

For Father’s Day on June 19 the Marco Polo is partnering with Subaru, bringing up some toys for big boys. Read that as their latest cars.

At Cafe Marco on June 19 the buffet is at P1,680 per person, inclusive of free flowing chilled juices, local beers and house wine.
